Got a late night and need to be refueled? Stop by Taqueria El Rodeo de Jalisco before 11pm to order up a late night dinner platter served with rice and beans. However, if tonight is about gettin' down on some serious grub; LYD suggests a traditional torta. Several different proteins to choose from: ham, chicken, beef, barbacoa, chorizo, and the list just goes on and on. One of the faves is the chicken torta. Tortas have several different meanings depending on what country you order it from. For Mexico a Spanish culture, it means flatbread sandwich with meat and all the fixings. Authentic tortas are not the usual flatbread that or ordered up in the states. The Mexican torta uses a healthy sized French baguette. Taqueria El Rodeo de Jalisco chicken torta consisted of a toasted French loaf bread filled with flavorful, grilled chicken, thinly sliced, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, bite size avocado, and a dab of sour cream. Upon request they will add grilled onions! Doesn't that just sound so tasty!!!

Early risers breakfast is served from 6am to 11am and boy does this taqueria serves several different breakfast choices from tacos, migas, and huevos. Homemade delicious flour or corn tortillas filled with scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, chorizo, sausage, cheese, and/or onions paired with fresh salsa or verde sauce. LYD got the bacon, egg, and cheese burrito this AM for a hearty meal. The burrito was the size of the plate which was palate pleasing. Open the burrito and drizzle with salsa and verde for an extra kick. This restaurant has it all in terms of authentic and delicious. It’s highly recommended that you get or try for the first time Horchata here. This is a Mexican specialty drink that is comprised of cinnamon, rice milk, and sugary heaven. Get you some today!
