Head East and you’ll pass by many flashy places vying for your attention, but once you get almost to Ross Ave, you’ll find by a small white building with few windows and one small sign-- Louie’s-- and you’ll feel right at home. This spot epitomizes the phrase “hole-in-the-wall” but this one has a delicious menu to chow down on for any eater in any mood. Louie’s is known for its thin crust pizzas, Texas-sized sandwiches, and highly concentrated cocktails. And if you’ve seen the Louie’s episode from the show Diners Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fieri, you’ll wanna take his advice and design your own pizza for your night out. Order up a fine cocktail, glass of wine, draft beer, and enjoy the atmosphere of Louie’s.

Now it’s time to create your perfect pizza. Use toppings such as-- pepperoni, canadian bacon, olives, onions, peppers, goat cheese, pineapple, and the list goes on. Pick any delicious toppings or maybe the entire list-- don’t hold back! LYD ordered up canadian bacon and olives and the pizza was served smoking hot with melting cheese and a thinly perfected crunchy golden brown crust. Wash down that tasty pie with an ice cold draft beer and you’ll have the makings of a great night!

Craving something different than pizza? There is a plethora of food choices to grub on. Sandwiches, salads, and soups are all there for the picking. LYD recommends the hearty meatball sub. A toasted hoagie sub, filled with golf giant-sized meatballs drenched in marinara sauce. The meatballs are cooked to such perfection that even your Italian grandmother would approve. The sub is paired with a choice of potato salad or potato chips. Choose the chips if you are looking for something crunchy and crispy. The potato salad is made in house with cooked idaho potatoes, tangy relish, mayo, and mustard all mixed together for a sweet, tangy, picnic-ready taste. If you’re looking for a menu item that is both simple and more elegant than pizza, dive into the buttery and fancy Crab Claws. Louie’s steams their claws, then sautees them in a lemon-butter sauce. This plate can be ordered as a main dish or an appetizer and comes with french bread to soak up the delicious leftover sauce.

As alway every special meal needs to conclude with dessert. So why not order up a daily Louie’s homemade sweet? Chow down on a slice or two of blackberry pie, strawberry cheesecake, or the mousse chocolate cake topped with a dollop of ice cream. Dessert should never be a regret and especially not at Louie’s! So whether the night is young or winding down, stop in to Louie’s to get a pizza, sub, lip-smacking cocktails or a d. After all, this is the place to be to meet new people at the bar, hang with good friends, and have a food feast!
