Looking for a hip place to chill with friends to cheer a Dallas team to victory? Venture to Uptown Dallas to enjoy delectable bar food and comfortable atmosphere at Thomas Avenue Beverage Company.
Uptown Dallas is known as an upscale neighborhood adjacent to downtown Dallas, and over the years, Uptown has received a reputation of being posh and overpriced, but LYD searched and found a place for all! Located at the corner of Allen and Thomas Street sits TABC, a pub-style restaurant/bar with a large outdoor patio, tons of beer, wine, cocktail options, and high class bar food. It’s a lively atmosphere, but there’s also plenty of space to spread out and get some private conversation time. With that being said, TABC is a great date spot and laid-back bar venue. Sit on the open patio while gazing at the stars, cuddle underneath the heat lamps while sipping on some fine wine, take in a Cowboys game, or order off the half-priced menu on Tuesdays with an enjoyable a mouth-watering meal!

LYD hand-picked some of our favorite options at TABC. Feast on some salmon, homemade chicken and dumplings, tender flank steak, hearty pasta, silky risotto, meatloaf, and all your favorite bar-side finger foods. All of these eats go great as a side dish to watching your favorite sports team with ice-cold beer or nice glass of Chardonnay. TABC is also known as a hot spot for late-night pizza because it is served until 1:30am on selected nights, so hit that up after a night out! There are some stellar items to intrigue you on their regular menu too. TABC takes the traditional chicken and dumplings up a notch by adding a south of the border kick. Tender chicken is sautéed with pillow soft dumplings, topped with a creamy cilantro sauce that will delight the taste-buds, definitely a new way to enjoy Grandma’s dumplings. The cilantro adds a hint of spice and depth to the dish, and this plate will be licked clean before you know it! For patrons who want something lighter, choose the salmon with a fluffy bed of rice underneath. A perfectly, tender-cut slice of wild salmon, seared lightly in butter (Thank goodness!) with hints of honey and coconut from the rice, a sweet and savory blend with the honey flavor highlighting the salmon's pitch-perfect features.
