LYD stopped for Sunday brunch; ready to chow down on some good eats, beautiful atmosphere, and some NYC fun! LYD started with an mouthwatering basket of breads- sourdough, wheat, sesame seed, onion, blueberry crumble...you name it, we had it! Alongside that, an order of extra thick, crispy bacon was brought to the table. That's right! Fresh, sizzling bacon made to order came straight from the kitchen to our table. Definitely large enough to share with everyone at the table, but don't hesitate to order another if that one is gobbled up! LYD recognizes that bacon is not a complete meal, we are sorry to say this, but eaters are in luck as Bar American serves up some of the best dishes in NYC!

Try the smoked Chicken Pot Pie because it ain't no ordinary chicken pie. The sweet potato biscuit is stuffed with chunks of chicken, celery, onions, and carrots smothered in a creamy chicken broth. Yummy! Definitely hits the spot, especially in the NYC cold weather, what could be better to warm the soul! LYD recommends the poached egg and ham. Bobby Flay adds spice and flavor to the everyday poached egg by adding a savory, peppy cajun hollandaise sauce. One of the most amazing eggs and ham you will ever eat. Eating all this savory, scrumptious, tasty food will get your mouth salivating for drinks. Bar Americain offers a surplus of cocktails, wines, and beers. So, do not forget to wash down each meal with either a classy mimosa or bellini!
